Thousands. And thousands. And thousands. These are the things that could definitely happen to your lawn or your garden which you certainly do not want to. I am talking about lawn or garden disasters and these sure are not welcome. Anyhow, you believe that these would not happen because of all the love and care and all the work you had put into it. But that is a misconception because things happen and that includes your garden or your lawn. So it is best if you are prepared.

You have a wonderful lawn or garden and plenty of your neighbors find what you have to be amazing. And you should be surprised if you also find insects making their way to your land - this is because of the way you have taken care of it that the insects also want to make it their habitat. This is definitely not a bad thing because plenty of insects who make lawns or gardens their home actually help in making the whole piece of land look even better and live better. But there are also some insects which bring about a lot of disadvantages (and cause a lot of damage) to what yo have worked hard on. You should be prepared for this.

Which insects would you want to stay in your garden or your lawn? And which ones would you have to keep out? Well, it is as if you can choose which ones will find your lawn or garden. But one of those that you definitely would want to keep out is the cranberry girdler. It may sound sweet or maybe even harmless just like a cranberry but the truth is, this insect has got a lot of spunk that you may never see in its name - or even in its appearance.

How do you know that you are looking at cranberry girdlers? Well, the first thing that you should notice about it is that it does look like a worm of some sort. It can be gray in color though at times it can also be dirty white. It has a head that is brown-orange in hue. It is not really a huge type of insect. In fact, it is just about three quarters of an inch in length. This insect may not be that harmful looking when you do take a look at it but the damage that it can do to your lawn or your garden would be like what billbugs can do - the grass on your lawn would turn brown because of them and you do not want that to happen.

July until September is the peak period for the cranberry girdler. So you will find them most active during this time. If you have them in your lawn or garden, go with insecticides. Experts suggest that you use such. It would definitely take out them cranberry girdlers.
